The philosophy behind SEED comes from a multifaceted realm that touches on the question of what it means to be human. The human reality is based on duality and in that duality lies a necessary conflict. This conflict is natural and kind, existing in all of the natural world in its innateness to be. As an observer of the natural realm, we see that existence is birthed from opposing forces, equally worthy of contemplation and respect. Our interaction with reality is founded on the respect of those “opposing forces”.  This is the beautiful place where learning and discovery becomes the journey of the human being. What SEED seeks to bring to the community is first, the knowledgeable acceptance of this natural phenomenon and secondarily, it’s loving embrace of unfolding the “necessary conflict” with gentle guidance within each individual in the community on their path to personal self-fulfillment.

A great Knower of wisdom has rarely been unchallenged. Challenge is the driving force to succeeding in the mission of the self. Challenge that leads to knowing has manifested our greatest mentors that speak on the need for listening and the need to understanding how crucial challenge is for individual growth. The shared pledge to work together for individual completion, is the creed of the mentor-disciple relationship. The shared pledge to work together, is the ultimate awareness of unity in duality. The philosophy is to empower each individual with the acceptance of knowing that they can triumph in any circumstance and transform that circumstance into an experience of growth.

There are no words to write on philosophy without the words of those who have come before. The future of us all and the youth, especially, lies with the elders and wise-thinkers that have preceded the now. Time moves forward, while we move upward. The very premise of a philosophy comes from those who taught us to think. The very root of SEED is the mentor that spoke to the need for knowing the self, the mastery of the self, to grow the community. They are interwoven. A seed cannot grow without soil and a thought can not be reflected without a listener. Such is the gift of duality. SEED’s mission is to bring duality into a place of unity, with weaving the threads of beings into a fabric of knowing. Knowing is community. Community is COM-together. UNITY-oneness. IN-not DIVIDUAL-separate. SEED’s philosophy is to embrace that one can not exist alone and the thriving of many relies on each one. SEED seeks to empower the ONE to complete the COMMUNITY.  SEED’s philosophy is no greater than the philosophy that preceded and no less than that which lies in the potential minds of those who are taught to think far and wide.

INTENTION

Today, I stand for...

Today, I show up as...

Today, I choose to be....

Today, I am a possibility for...

Today, I am a demonstration of...

Todd and Kristin have been engaged in an ongoing dialogue about intention and what that means to them individually, together, as children, parents, family members, friends and as members of the community.

The decision to ignite SEED together is a reflection of this intention.

This page is dedicated to the intentionality that exists within all of us and, in that spirit, will continually evolve to reflect this truth.
